Progress in Houston

Dear Friends,

Today, part of our team was in Houston, Texas, visiting the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, learning and getting updates on work supported in recent years, and also seeing more of what is to come from the program we just kicked off, supported with funding dollars announced in October.  Then, we shared a grant of $50,000 to MD Anderson that would make possible a project focused on developing a model to better enable phase recognition and strengthen surgical approaches of pancreatectomy and gastrectomy.

In 2019, we began a relationship with MD Anderson, and five years and four gifts later, we have built together progress that is shaping a brighter future for so many.  With each milestone, update and outcome, we remain energized on the path forward being paved together.  Compassion, the constant seeking of excellence, the search for better, and unwavering commitments and promises made that stay at the core of every decision we make.  We never forget the who at the end of our mission, and as we strive to continue leading innovation, progress and change in stomach cancer research, know the best is still to come.

We are excited to see the future of what this new program brings.  One thing I know for certain: we are partnering with the best and we can accomplish anything we set our minds too.

On behalf of our entire team, thank you for your continued support and belief in Project Periwinkle and the work we are making possible. There is no doubt, it would not be able to happen without you.  Stay in touch and keep an eye out for updates—we have a lot of big things coming this summer!

Sincerely,

Ben J. Broghammer, MBA
